Etihad Flour Mill

Etihad Flour Mill

At the beginning of 2025, as part of a strategic step by Etihad Group toward strengthening food security and achieving economic development, the group will inaugurate its flour mill project, which is one of the largest in the Middle East, with a production capacity of 4,500 tons per day.

The project, whose foundation stone was laid in mid-2024 in the presence of Prime Minister Eng. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, reflects the group's vision to advance the food industry by utilizing the latest global technologies and innovations.

Equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and advanced systems from specialized European companies, the project ensures the highest standards of quality and productivity.

The mill features innovative techniques in milling and packaging operations, enabling the production of various types of flour—including white flour, whole wheat flour, and semolina used in confectionery and pasta production—delivered with premium quality to consumers. Packaging will be available in multiple sizes, ranging from 1-kilogram bags to 50 kilograms, as well as bulk options, catering to diverse consumer needs.

All products will undergo rigorous laboratory testing using the latest inspection technologies, adhering to both international and Iraqi quality standards at every stage—from raw material reception to production processes and final output.

One of the project's key objectives is to reduce reliance on imported flour, thereby promoting self-sufficiency, contributing to trade balance, supporting price stability, and meeting the growing market demand.

In addition to its economic impact, the project will play a vital role in reducing unemployment by creating numerous direct and indirect job opportunities. Since the start of construction, the project has employed professionals in engineering, technical, and skilled trades. Upon completion, it will offer employment opportunities in diverse areas, such as operations, maintenance, and management.
