The general company for the trade of foodstuffs in the ministry of commerce announced that it is seeking to supply ration card items from the local product in its processing and that the stage of importing the foodstuffs has ended without return, which was carrying the ministry in foreign currency in addition to the other consequences of the shipping, transport, loading and storage procedures, arrived at its appointed time.
This was confirmed by the general manager of the company Eng. Qassim Hamoud during his visit with a delegation of managers of departments and divisions in the company to the Etihad food industries producer of sugar and edible oil and to see the quality of the product and the possibilities of the factories, which equal to factories in developed countries in the production of sugar and edible oil.
He referred that the dependence on the national product in the provision of ration card items comes in line with the instructions and the government program to support the local product and depend on it in the provision of ration card items, noting that this step is the first since more than 15 years is depending on a local product have these specifications in the provision of food Citizen.
He pointed out that any initiative to develop and improve the local product and encourage it is at the heart of the ministry's work and that what the factory of the Etihad offered from specifications and special scientific and technical capabilities it's pride of local industries, calling on everyone to develop all the potential to return local industry to Iraq.
